If you look back to the beginnings of things, you could say Lori is what led me to eventually visit Texas.
Lori found my screen name through AIM's find-a-buddy thingy. She read my info, which at that time read "I am cheese." My captivating profile led her to Instant Message me. Fortunately, she was also into drawing/painting/music/God. When we weren't talking about current events in our lives, those were the topics. After talking for 2 or 3 years, Lori suggested the possiblity of me visiting her and her friends. So I did! |
When I said that Lori was into drawing/painting, I meant she's good at it! Here she is drawing a portrait for David.
Lori works fast. Rapid strokes are common in her work. I relate highly. |
Spaghetti hangs from his mouth. |
I drew a portrait of Lori by looking at her reflection from the side-view mirror. It was fun.
When I wasn't staying with the Jones, I stayed at Lori's house. Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures of some of the cool things we did, so I thought I'd eat least mention it. We went canoeing in the bayou! That was the coolest recreational-thing-I-can't-do-in-Washington activity I did that week. I can go canoeing in Washington, but not in a Bayou! I felt like I was in India! |
Ok, I've reached the point where what I'm writing has little to do with the given picture.
I got to meet part of Lori's family: her mom, BJ and her older brother Will. Everyone else was in England or California. While Lori slept in, I'd eat breakfast and talk with BJ for hours. I got to know Will some also. I guarded the bathroom door for him at the ice cream shop for what seemed like hours. I liked to joke and he liked to laugh. Aside from all the fun, he's a loving guy and cares for his friends and family deeply. |
This isn't a picture of Lori. I thought I'd deviate a little bit more. It's Jake!
Jake is Lori's neighbor. On the way home from the Eisley concert, Jake and I brought on the big laughs by sharing the craziest and grossest stories we knew. Jake is fun. |
